Traded in my Astro and kept the 200 EFI (no cone or LWP) and that little engine makes this 21' hull jump out of the hole. Nosecone and LWP run at 1/2" below pad would surely hit 80 easily. The solid feel of the hull, the quality of the layout and interior, vast storage compartments and decks and dual consoles put this boat in a class by itself."

  acceleration. Anything above 75 mph the boat is a handful.  
  Seems like I have to trim it very high to get the last 5 mph out of   
  it. Would greatly appreciate any setup tips. Tried Jaco; wouldn't

  Allison, very happy with all aspects for my uses. I fish, ski and race  
  this boat. The ProMax has been built to the hilt by JSRE with   
  influences from John Marles, Tony Brucato, Eric Simon and other  
  super people. To date I have run top end of 103.6 a testament to  
  the ability of a steel sleeve Pro Max. There is more to be had at  
  sea level, a lot. The sweet thing about the "Fishing Bote" as they  
  call it during race announcements is, take out extra batteries, lose   
  some fuel, changed heads, increase fuel pressure, prop, dump  
  extra weight and hurt some V8 boy's feeling on the 1/4 mile.  
  This boat took High Points in SWDBA in 2005, a 'Fishing Bote'..."

            SuperMag "The motor's been warmed up a bit.  The 92.8 mph was with a   
  lab finished 30" Mazco RE.  Cool Fall afternoon and the trolling  
  motor removed.  91.4 mph @ 7100 rpm with a "regular" load  
  on the boat.  Just bought the boat in Feb. '02.  Slung an ear off  
  my prop in May.  Melted the #2 piston in June, (check fuel lines  
  for holes, can become a leaning air/fuel mix issue).  
  It's been a good year, had no idea so much has to be learned to  
  go fast."

  and a 12" RapidJack plate late in the Fall and both these changes  
  have greatly brought out true "Ally" handling performance for me.  
  I have not yet gps'd to find top end speed with a 25" old style  
  Tempest reworked by John at DAH but bottom and midrange   
  are great.  I also recently purchased a 29" SRX from Jaco's and  
  I will be doing further testing to find top end max with this boat  
  setup in the future after DAH's prop rework."
