Great boat, BUT was mislead to believe it would easily run 60 mph with a 150EFI and a 24 prop - 57 mph in a chop is all time best; usually 54 mph when fishing ready. Trolling motor battery spaces won't hold largest trolling motor batteries. DualPro charger has dies twice. This boat needs hydraulic steering. I have the only 2002 with a tandem trailer - it was designed and built at my request. I also trashed the Motorguide for a MinnKota and the stock electronics for the top end Lowrance w/GPS. Stock 24" prop would only turn 5300 rpm, replaced with a Turbo Lightning.

Likes: Great holeshot, spacious casting deck, good deck layout, dual rod organizers are great!!
A lot of boat for the money.
Dislikes: Cheesy pinstripes in hull, boat sits 3" off center because bunks are welded off, both drywell lids close very hard and hinges are stressed.

I like the large front deck and the new layout for 2002.  The rod box is in the center and allows for storing longer rods.  Also, the bench seat is nice.  I have had the boat for only 7 months, so I haven't found any dislikes yet.

Just purchased my G3 boat and I love it so far.  Haven't used it much yet.  Two things I'm concerned about are:
One, the rod locker storage area is not big enough to fit normal size 6'6" rods into?
Another thing is I seem to have problems with the trim switch on the throttle handle not working
sometimes?
Any knowledge would be appreciated.  Thanks.
